The Lucid Light Meditation Appliance (Lucia 3) is a kinetic light device used to activate all four quadrants of the brain.  The Lucid Light activates all of the brain wave frequencies, but particularly impacts Alpha and Theta waves. It stimulates the pineal gland via light signals to the optic nerve. This creates temporary EEG brain wave patterns that would typically only appear after many years of meditation practice-allowing a user to experience a sense of deep relaxation, creativity, focus, intuition, connection, and wholeness.

YOU ARE A BEING OF LIGHT

As humans all of our cells communicate through light (this is being confirmed through bio-photonics). The Lucia 3 uses wide spectrum solid light plus LED flashing at various frequencies to relax and dilate the central nervous system. The brain moves from beta-dominance to alpha-theta and it can move into harmonic coherence. This can lead to lower stress, increased creativity, more frequent flow states and a feeling of wonder and awe.

THE LIGHT ENTERS THE BODY. The wide-spectrum solid and flickering light enters the body through the closed eyes, travels along your optic nerve and into the central brain (where the pineal gland and thalamus are located). As your cells communicate through impulses of light within the fascia, the light spreads through your body.

YOUR SYSTEM IS ACTIVATED. Waves of light travel through the fascia, and the brain entrains to the pulsing rhythm of the light. As you move deeper into the experience, neural networks and chemicals are activated, your body deeply relaxes and your unconscious world comes to life.

Before you sign up, please review

Before your session
  • Pick out music for your session the night before.
  • Relaxing or meditative music without lyrics that aids in reaching a positive mind space is optimal. 
(Note: The light is a powerful brain entrainment tool.  Please do not combine with brain entrainments such as binaural beats.)
  • Get plenty of rest the night before.
  • Eat and hydrate well prior to your session.
  • Take some time to ground and set an intention for your session.
  • Ask your light attendant any questions you may have.
During a session
  • Try not to have any particular expectations.  Try to observe, rather than analyze.  Open yourself to the experience. There is no wrong or right way, no better or worse way.
  • Keep your eyes closed. (Although opening your eyes will not damage them, it is not pleasant.)
  • Make yourself as comfortable as possible to enjoy the experience.
  • You may occasionally feel a breeze from the fan.
  • You may hear the fan switching on and off.
  • At times you might experience involuntary fluttering of the eyelids. Do not let this worry you, it is a normal physiological response. This is usually remedied by looking throughout the third eye.
  • You may notice an increase in your heart rate as a component of the brain entrainment process.
  • Breathe deeply and evenly.
  • If you feel a churning in your stomach or feel uneasy, let the attendant know so that the session may be modified or terminated.
  • You can abandon the session at any time by holding your hand over your eyes and turning your head away from the light.
after a session
  • Take time to allow for integration of what you’ve experienced.
  • Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol.
  • Consider meditating prior to bedtime.
  • Get plenty of rest to optimize the healthful impacts of your experience.

​The Lucia 3 offers the benefits of deep meditation and enables access to an expanded state of consciousness within a short while under the light.  The stroboscopic light stimulates temporary harmonic brain wave patterns typically found only in the brains of people who have been meditating for many years.  The light assists in accessing the Theta state as well as high Alpha patterns,  often associated with joy, intuition, creativity and high concentration.

With a series of regular sessions on the light, you can literally train your brain to reach this optimal state.  Even after one session it is easier to reach a state of deep meditation as your brain has the experience of reaching those states.
