What should I bring with me?
You don't need to bring much. Just bring yourself and an open mind. We provide towels, earplugs, and toiletries. You may want to bring a comb or brush and any personal care items you prefer..
How long does the session last?
Each session typically lasts 60 minutes. We also offer extended sessions of 90 minutes if you’d like more time to relax and rejuvenate.
How do you keep the water clean?
The water is kept clean with a combination of filtering and UV sterilization. Additionally, the high concentration of Epsom salt in the water naturally prevents the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms.
Can I float if I can’t swim?
Absolutely! You don’t need to know how to swim to float. The high concentration of Epsom salt makes the water extremely buoyant, allowing you to float effortlessly on the surface.
Will there be any light or sound?
Our tanks are designed to provide a sensory deprivation experience, which means no light and no sound. However, you have the option to keep a soft light on and listen to calming music if you prefer.
What are the benefits?
Floating can help reduce stress, alleviate pain, improve sleep, and enhance creativity and mental clarity. Many people also find it beneficial for meditation and mindfulness practices.
What if I’m claustrophobic?
Our tanks are spacious and designed to make you feel comfortable. You can always leave the door slightly open or use our larger open pool if you prefer.
How big are your tanks?
Our tanks are quite roomy, measuring approximately 8 feet long and 4 feet wide. We also offer an open float pool for those who prefer more space.
Can I float if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?
Yes, floating is generally safe and can be very beneficial during pregnancy as it helps relieve the extra weight and strain on the body. However, we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before booking a session.
How does your membership work?
Our membership offers discounted rates on sessions and other perks like priority booking and special events. You can choose from several membership levels to suit your needs.
What’s Epsom salt?
Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate, a mineral compound known for its therapeutic properties. It helps create buoyancy in the float tank and offers numerous health benefits, including muscle relaxation and stress relief.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee.
Is there a minimum age for floating?
We recommend that floaters be at least 16 years old. Younger floaters can participate with parental consent and supervision.

WHAT IS THE JAPANESE SAUNA OR IYASHI DÔME INFRATHERAPY?
The Japanese sauna is infratherapy technology that is a gentle yet powerful technique using far infrared radiation to induce a significant rise in body temperature and, therefore, an action on detox, slimming, sleep, skin ageing, physical preparation and muscle recovery.
WHAT DOES THE NAME IYASHI DÔME MEAN?
The word Iyashi represents the notion of wellbeing in Japanese.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE WITH A TRADITIONAL SAUNA?
The main difference is that the usual sauna is based on the principle of heating the room to reach a very high temperature (ranging from 70 to 110°C) and an immediate sauna-induced sweat. In this case, the sweating process is qualified as “thermoregulatory”: to maintain its temperature and respond to the extreme change in external temperature, your body creates a superficial, uniquely hydrolipidic film. This means the sweat process is superficial and composed of 98% water.
On the contrary, in the Japanese sauna, thanks to FIR, the body temperature is raised directly. It therefore requires little time to induce a sweat with the Iyashi Dôme, however the process goes deeper and is more intense. There is a deep action on toxin elimination in the whole body.
The temperature of the air almost doesn’t increase and this makes a huge difference, both in terms of comfort of use and results.
Comfortably lying down, head outside the dome, you don’t breathe any hot air and the position boosts blood circulation.
Furthermore, there is the possibility to choose different levels of intensity for the upper and lower body, so the device can adapt the treatment to fit your individual needs.
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN GENTLE AND INTENSE SESSIONS?
Intensity, sweating and duration.
A “gentle” session is a treatment that targets rest and relaxation as well as helping naturally boost your metabolism and immune system. In a gentle session, you may keep your clothes on, unlike in an intense session, and sessions last from 15 to 45 minutes without ever inducing the sweating process.
As for the intense sessions, they significantly induce the sweating process and are targeted towards slimming and deep detox objectives. These sessions last for 30 minutes and are done naked or wearing disposable underwear.
HOW LONG DOES AN INTENSE IYASHI DÔME SESSION LAST?
An Iyashi Dome session lasts 30 minutes and comprises 2 phases each lasting 15 minutes.
The 1st 15-minute period is spent lying face down; you will relax and feel a “sunbathing” effect. During the 2nd 15-minute period, lying on your back, the sweating process is induced for what is called the “sports” effect.
WHAT IS THE IDEAL DURATION FOR AN IYASHI DÔME TREATMENT PROGRAMME?
Our clinical trials are based on an average of 8 sessions at a rate of 2 sessions a week, we recommend a 10-session programme to maximise your results.
Our Japanese sauna provides multiple benefits for the body and face: detox, anti-ageing, slimming, physical preparation and muscle recovery. The number of sessions is adapted to your wishes and objectives.
Just one session can help you recover from a long plane trip for example, just like 8 sessions can help you with slimming.

WHAT ARE A SESSION’S IMMEDIATE EFFECTS?

DO I HAVE TO TAKE A SHOWER AFTER MY SESSION?
The Iyashi Dôme ritual includes refreshing and moistened washcloths (Oshiboris) that are prepared for you to use at the end of your session.
These Oshiboris are quicker in stopping the sweating process and they tone and refresh the skin.
However, depending on the centre’s facilities, you may take a shower (hot or warm) should you wish to do so.
SHOULD I APPLY SKINCARE BEFORE OR AFTER MY SESSION?
We don’t recommend applying skincare products right before the intense session, as the sweating process will not help absorption or effectiveness.
It is best to apply skincare products after the treatment.
SHOULD I REMOVE MY MAKEUP BEFORE AN IYASHI DÔME SESSION?
It isn’t mandatory to remove your makeup. However, for your comfort, as you will sweat during the session, it will be more pleasant for you to do so.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR DURING A SESSION?
During an Iyashi Dôme session, it is preferable to be naked.
Your nudity will be respected at all times thanks to the protocol, domes and linen provided.
Some centres, for your comfort, offer disposable underwear.

Is it safe?
Yes! The Lucia N°03 is safe for most people. However, it’s not recommended for those with light-sensitive epilepsy due to the stroboscopic function. In addition, those who are under 18, are pregnant, are under the influence of drugs or mind-altering substances, or who have a history of psychosis or severe anxiety may not use the light. All light travelers will be asked to sign a consent form upon arrival.
Is it a medical device?
The hypnagogic light machine is not a medical treatment or therapeutic device. Instead, it acts as a portal to health and wellbeing by creating a heightened sense of connectivity and awareness. The light helps access a state of consciousness that is always available to us, but which tends to get obscured by daily distractions and thought processes.
Are there any studies?
For decades, there have been studies around flickering light and its ability to regulate the nervous system, reduce stress, and enter expanded states of consciousness. Since the Lucia N°03 was invented in Europe, all the published studies so far are from that continent, although research has also begun here in the U.S.
One recent study by Dr. David Schwartzman at the University of Sussex suggests that flickering light can induce similar states of awareness as psilocybin. Dr. Schwartzman and his team collected data on brainwave measurements, neural activity, and experiential reports during a) wakeful rest b) a psilocybin experience, and c) an experience with the Lucia N°03. They concluded that: “the ability of stroboscopic stimulation to induce altered phenomenology with marked similarities to psychedelic ASC, along with similar changes in neural activity (increased signal diversity, reduced alpha power), suggests it may provide an alternative to or adjunct method alongside psychedelic therapy.” (Schwartzman, et. al, 58-59)
Entheogens have been making a comeback in clinical trials but this study shows the possibility of accessing similar states of consciousness and the correlated benefits without ingesting any substances. Instead, these states of consciousness can be accessed with light - specifically the solid and stroboscopic light called the Lucia N°03. This is great news for anyone who wants to explore the benefits that psychedelics can initiate without ingesting any substances, or for anyone wanting to supplement and integrate their psychedelic experiences through another medium.

Is it brain entrainment?
Yes. The flickering light of the Lucia N°03 invites the brain into entrainment (increased alpha, theta and gamma waves) and ultimately into coherence, a harmonic brain state found in experienced meditators or those in trance states. With each session the light traveler begins to reach that stage more quickly - both during the light experience itself and when meditating on their own.
How long do sessions last?
All sessions are around 90 minutes, whether for First-Time or Return Travelers.
First-time light travelers will receive 3 short demos of 2-5 minutes each at varying intensities. Having selected the one they resonate with the most, they will receive a 20-25 minute light session. Afterward, there will be time for rest and reflection.
Return Traveler Sessions consist of discussion, intention setting, up to 50 minutes of light, and integration. More time under the light is available in 10 minute increments. Some people find they prefer less light and more time for integration, whereas others prefer as much light as possible.
Do you provide the music or do I?
I have a number of playlists that have been crafted to pair well with the light, but if there is music you’d love to bring, please do! If you’re providing your own playlist, please have it ready to go with enough music to run the length of your session. Meditative music without lyrics is optimal, although there are always exceptions to that rule.
Please note: Do NOT listen to binaural beats since the Lucia N°03 is a powerful brain entrainment tool. The combination of the two is not recommended.

What is PEMF exercise?
PEMF exercise uses pulsed electromagnetic fields to bathe low energy cells in pure, raw energy. Each cell in your body is actually a capacitor, or battery, which holds a charge. What can I expect after the first session?
You will feel energized and this feeling can last for a few hours or less after a session. How much PEMF Exercise do I need?
The human body is complex, and everyone is different, therefore it is impossible to come up with an exact number on how many PEMF sessions someone would need.
